Wandering Eye:

Blogger is vexing me. Why won't it let me link in the buttons above to my own posts and pages and profiles? Oh my. I'm seriously flirting with Wordpress right now.

  1. I love Wordpress logistically but I think it hurts my traffic big time. It's like living overseas. Sounds really cool, but most of my friends aren't making it over for a vist.

  2. I've never tried wordpress, but I created an account with tumblr yesterday and found it so difficult to customise my page so I gave up. Better the devil you know haha. I love your new page layout and banner. Looks great.

  3. Blogger annoys me so much too! It won't let me fit my new logo into that stupid frame! I am considering an affair as well:) any idea how to fix my problem? x

  4. I made the switch. It's pretty simple. Wordpress lets you import all of your blogger stuff (although it shrinks some of the pictures, I think). I can't remember how to do the links above-although I do know for an about page you have to make a post (just date it a long time before you started posting) and just link to it. New header is dope!

  5. Jenny- that is maybe the best metaphor ever. Quite succinct and helpful.

Fickle- Thanks! Devil you know indeed. I'm just whining and I'll probably stick to this.

Emily- Do you mean your header is bigger than the space allotted for it? If that's the case, it's a pretty simple fix- email me and I'll help you out.

Jon- Yeah, I noticed! Wordpress is just a lot more elegant in terms of functionality. Blogger gets kind of clunky. But anyway, when I try to link to old pages (like you suggested) it sets up fine, but then the actual link takes you to a blogger page that says "This page cannot be found" which is odd, as it can be found if i link to it elsewhere. Oh, coding.

Blah blah blah whining. Thanks for whining with me, friends. :)
